Glen Einich

Today I tried to get up Glen Einich to do the loop but had to turn back halfway up the lower track due to large sheets of water ice on the track. The flood lower down has mostly drained away and the track is clear there now. On my way home the freewheel started sticking spasmodically and then just 100 metes from home seized up casting the chain onto the road. Never had that happen before. Once home I dismantled it all and the freewheel is locked solid. Whilst doing this my cassette cracker broke in two. Yeah, s**t happens!

Loch Einich track.

The large lochan now straddling the Loch Einich track. I wonder what it's like further up by the river.

Footbridge washout

One of the footbridges in Glen Feshie is down in the floods. It is the first bridge you come to crossing from Stronetoper towards Corarnstilbeg. There is a major washout and the whole bank has gone, the bridge left hanging from one side. Probably be months before it's repaired. Might be ok to wade in low water though.
