I had a ride around yesterday, Alastairs glades and then down to the Pizza trail. After Dougie's remarks I found my way round the Pizza trail OK folowing the lined up logs. It needs some riding and a bit of a tidy up though. I then went over to Docharn and caught up George who was on a mega long days run. He went straight on above Docharn but I turned left and came back through to Carrbridge. I haven't ridden these tracks for months but all seem to be OK.
I had a wiz through the pizza trail last night and agree it needs a bit more riding for the new sections and some clearing on the old bits. Sticks were flying all over the place and i was fretting for my rear mech. An evenings wonder could be in order. The new yellow markers are great and are needed for some of the new bits.
Spent a couple of hours this afternoon between showers raking off "derailleur" twigs along virtually the whole length of the Pizza trail. Should ride great now. There are a lot of red deer in there now, I disturbed a large herd of hinds and then about 8 stags. No wonder there are deer trails all over the place in there now.
